Serving South Dakota residents with hunger needs. Our mission is to treat individuals and agencies with fairness and dignity. Objectives: To be responsive to customer needs, to maximize the available resources by partnering with others to prevent hunger, to empower the organization to carry out its mission. Feeding South Dakota is the largest non-profit organization in the state involved in the fight to end hunger in South Dakota. Our organization's food pantries provides food and supplies to families and individuals in Sioux Falls and Rapid City, and our food banks in Sioux Falls, Pierre and Rapid City distribute donated products to more than 400 nonprofit meal-providing agencies and pantries across South Dakota. Volunteer opportunities include sorting and boxing food obtained from food drives and/or miscellaneous donations and more. This is a great opportunity for youth groups or individuals wanting to do volunteer community service or needing to do community service hours. |
