http://siouxfallslegion.org/American Legion Post 15 Veterans Build Vision The American Legion is intensely committed to making a difference in the lives of homeless veterans and their families, by striving to assist veterans with services needed from a caring community to promote health, independence and social interaction with a supporting environment allowing the veteran and their family to pursue their highest level of self management. Mission 1. Aid homeless veteran families in need with sustained coordinated efforts using public and private sector agencies and organizations, 2. Provide homeless veteran families: • in need with job assistance to continue pursuing their highest level of self management. • secure housing and counseling in their pursuit of personal development and empowerment. • an opportunity for individuals, corporations, veteran groups and others in assisting severely wounded, disabled, homeless or veterans and their families in need to rebuild and reclaim their lives. 3. Assist homeless veterans or veterans and their families in need by any means in accordance with the 4 Pillars of the American Legion: • Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation • National Security • Americanism • Children and Youth
