http://www.sfacf.orgIn partnership with donors, Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation provides philanthropic leadership that assures the quality of life in our area, for good, forever. The Community Foundation cultivates philanthropy by inspiring new generations of donors to nurture Sioux Falls' position as a nationally recognized charitable frontrunner. SFACF manages and grows endowments and directs charitable grants to social, cultural, and educational initiatives that address the area's emerging needs and opportunities. This emphasis on growing long-term charitable endowments assures that the stability and quality of life we enjoy today will be sustained for generations to come, in good times or bad. A 15-member volunteer board of directors oversees the Community Foundation. These trustees have combined expertise in charitable giving, accounting, law, and financial management. While their occupations and philanthropic interests vary, they are all results-driven SFACF donors who share long-standing records of community service and leadership. In addition to the board and a professional staff, dozens of volunteers work to fulfill SFACF's mission. An Investment Committee made up of experts from area banks, brokerage houses, and other financial institutions oversees investment policy. The Youth Advisory Council, made up of students from local public and private high schools, reviews grant applications for youth programs. Volunteers serving on the Grants Committee and Scholarship Selection Panels enhance our ability to serve the needs of a diverse and growing community.
