The Mission of Safety Village of South Dakota is to create safety awareness, promote life safety skills, and provide injury prevention education and training through a community-wide partnership for the benefit of all. Our Vision statement reads; To provide an environment where individuals acknowledge that injuries are predictable, understandable and therefore preventable. Safety Village of South Dakota provides a number of Injury Prevention Education opportunities through classes and exhibits held at the WH Lyon Fairgrounds, through on-line information and classes and activites held in various parts of the state. Our largest single event is the Sioux Empire Fair where over 10,000 people are involved in one or more of our exhibits.
