Mita Maske Ti Ki works toward ending violence against women and children. We are a transitional living shelter, not a crisis center, that helps women experiencing domestic violence transition into their own living space. We provide safety, services, and advocacy to women and their children victimized by domestic violence. We are committed to offering a supported, non-judgmental and empowering atmosphere in which individuals can explore options and make decisions in which planned outcomes are possible. We maintain that confidentiality is critical and indispensable in the provisions of services to women and children. Mita Maske Ti Ki is dedicated to meeting the needs of the racially diverse population in our community, through awareness, and education on dynamics of domestic violence. We recognize that a multi-faceted approach is essential; therefore, we promote individual, professional and organizational relationships based on equality, fairness and mutual respect.
