http://www.alz.org/sdOur mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for individuals, families and caregivers. We provide services to people throughout South Dakota such as Helpline (24 hour/7 day telephone support and information about dementia at 1-800-272-3900). Memory loss groups providing safe, supportive, confidential information exchange, education, problem solving and selfcare tips. MedicAlert/Safe Return, a nationwide identification, support and registration program. Education, seminars, inservices and conferences throughout the region for persons with memory loss, caregivers, care providers and volunteers. Advocacy is working for action on Alzheimer's and memory loss issues in state capitols and Washington, DC. Research funding opportunities to improve diagnostic tools, identify prevention strategies, promote quality care and to find a cure.
