Organization Profile

Project Warm-Up was started in 2006 by Kaitlin Vik of the Lincoln Key Club and Tracy Vik, of the Diversity Kiwanis Club. Over the past seven years, through the incredible efforts of many volunteers and generous donors, over 6500 blankets have been created and delivered to area youth who are in need due to various reasons such as homelessness, financial, health, or who have suffered recent tragedy. Last year the Sioux Falls School District identified over 1000 students as homeless. That means they are living in a shelter, living in a car, doubled up with other families, or staying in a motel room (an entire family in one room). Help us to provide each of them with a colorful fleece blanket to call their very own this holiday season. Check out the website for more information! http://www.projectwarmup.org/
