Light The Night at Your School
Looking for students to host a LIGHT THE NIGHT (formerly called Pennies for Patients/Hero Squad) at their school. Light The Night is an elementary, middle, high school and college community service project led by students. Students gain the unique experience of helping thousands of children and adults in their fight against cancers like leukemia and lymphoma--with bravery, kindness and teamwork. Light The Night ensures that no child has to take on cancer alone. Student leaders get to decide how they will raise funds so that LLS can find cures and ensure access to treatments for local children and adults with blood cancer. Local LLS staff will guide the students in their planning and suggest fundraising activities such as:
- Crazy for a Cure
- Stuck for a Buck
- Make Cancer Disappear
- Digital Dollars
- Pennies Pie
- Penny War Against Cancer
- Teacher Dare
- Wall of Hope
- Team Up Against Cancer
We know children with cancer are Heroes. Children with cancer are courageous in their fight against cancer. Heroes never take on cancer alone. Heroes need students, educators, and parents in their Light The Night to overcome cancer and live healthier lives.
Students can also earn rewards. Oh! and they can win money for their school. Food, who doesn't like food. Students can earn pizza parties for their fellow classmates!
LLS is the voice for all blood cancer patients and we work to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients.
