Mentor
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Black Hills is seeking volunteers to mentor young people in our programs. We are looking for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Big Couples (married), and Big Families (families committed to volunteering together!). Our programs aim to pair children between 5-17 years old with positive adult role models who can show them their unlimited potential and help them become more responsible, successful, and well-rounded individuals. We match Littles with Bigs based on shared interests, availability, and personalities to ensure a successful and sustainable match. Mentors (Bigs) are expected to commit to at least 1 year, spending 4 hours a month with their Little. You can be matched in our general community-based program or our Bigs in Blue program with the Rapid City Police Department (must be employed by RCPD to join).
