Veterans Volunteer
PRIMARY PURPOSE/FUNCTION OF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:
1. Conduct clerical duties for program staff.
2. Provide front-line phone and reception duties.
3. Provide support for administrative projects as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Programmatic
A. Organize reports, progress notes, evaluations, and tracking plans for agency program staff.
B. Maintain accurate and efficient files and filing system.
C. Maintain staff correspondence files.
D. Provide support for the agency's Case Management staff.
E. Ensure the availability of complete and accurate files for use with participants.
F. Organize various promotional packets.
2. Communications
A. Receive and route all phone calls in a cordial and efficient manner.
B. Ensure the proper handling of all phone messages for staff.
C. Ensure the proper transfer of phones at closing and the proper handling of office equipment, files and supplies.
3. General
A. Assist with community service volunteers and other clerical volunteers.
B. Participate in staff development meetings.
C. Provide assistance with a inventory of office supplies, materials, copies.
D. Maintain a clean and orderly support services office.
E. Communicate all maintenance and servicing needs to supervisor.
F. Assist with other clerical duties and administrative projects as requested due to work load or modification of program needs.
HOURS: Looking for volunteers with flexibility in scheduling.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Looking for volunteers with excellent organizational and communication skills and skill in computer use.
