THERAPY DOG SERVICE - share your dog with others
Do you have that wonderful well-behaved dog that loves children, adults, the elderly and other dogs? That has just described a Therapy Dog's temperament. The joy of seeing the eyes and smiles of elderly residents in retirement communities melts your heart. Sitting on the floor on a nest (blanket) with a child reading to your dog while touching and petting him/her makes you appreciate the Children Reading to Dogs Program. Presenting your dog to patients in a hospital setting means your furry friend has helped someone in their recovery. After passing your certification test with your dog, you will then receive your credentials from Therapy Dogs International, Inc. When it is time to visit and you put on your TDI uniform, you will laugh at the antics of your dog just knowing s/he is going to go to work that day. What a gift you can give to so many by sharing your dog with others. How gratifying to volunteer along the side of your loyal, loving dog!
