Sioux Empire United Way’s 17th Annual Reading Festival
Saturday, October 21
9:00am to 12:00pm
Ramkota Exhibit Hall
“Hero Up With A Good Book!”
This FREE family event will include: a free book for every child who attends, children's activities and crafts for Birth to 7 years, appearances by "everyday heroes," live storybook readings, literacy information and resources for parents, and children's entertainment by Phil Baker.

Area that need volunteers:
Toddler Area (this area has toys, things for kids to play with etc. only for kids up to age 3)– need 3 volunteers arrive around 830am leave around noon (could do split shifts 830-1030 and 1030 to noon)
Coloring Area (this area has coloring pages and blank paper for kids to draw and create as they wish) need 2 volunteers arrive around 830am leave around noon (could do split shifts 830-1030 and 1030 to noon)
Photo Area (there will be props event goers can pose with) need 1 volunteer arrive by 830am leave around noon
Free Book Area ( books are separated by age, volunteers in this section will need to make sure each child receives one book age appropriate book) need 4 volunteers arrive around 9am leave around Noon
Set up/Tear down (ensure all UW items have been set up/removed and items have been returned to the UW office) need 2-3 volunteers arrive around noon
