LOSS Team Members
The LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Team is made up of trained volunteers who respond 24/7 with law enforcement in Pennington, Meade, and Lawrence Counties to help newly bereaved and traumatized suicide survivors. This is a difficult and distressing time for survivors, and our volunteers are there to offer compassion, support, and hope. Our team understands the pain of losing someone to suicide and will provide information on community resources for ongoing assistance, mental healthcare, and grief support services.
Volunteers on this team make a significant commitment to help those in need while joining a group of suicide survivors who have come to a point in their grief journey where they can help others. Additional volunteers are always needed. If you are interested in volunteering, you should be a suicide survivor and be able to share on-call duties. To learn more about the LOSS Team, CLICK HERE and follow the link at the bottom of the page to apply. For more information, call (605) 348-6692.
