Connect with a Sioux Empire Senior

The Better Together program aims to match seniors living in their homes with a volunteer visitor to provide friendship, socialization, share resources and build a relationship. Our ultimate goal of this free service is to connect generations. Volunteers can be individuals, a group of friends, couples or even a family (children must be accompanied by an adult over 18 at all times). Together, matches can share a meal, go to community events, run errands together or just hang out and talk. Volunteers commit to meeting a senior for at least four hours a month for at least one year. Volunteers must complete an application and have a clear background. Contact LSS for more information on how you can volunteer for this great program! mentoring@LssSD.org or 605-444-7803  or click here
