Clothing Closet Volunteer
The United Way of Greater Yankton Clothing Closet provides free clothing to individuals and families in our community. Volunteers help keep the Closet organized, welcoming, and ready to serve those who need it.
Ways You Can Help
- Distribution: Assist guests as they shop for clothing during scheduled distribution shifts. Distribution volunteers sign up for shifts through Volunteer Connections.
- Sorting & Organizing: Sort, hang, fold, and organize donated clothing. These volunteers can stop in during regular office hours without signing up for a distribution shift.
- Special Events: Help with Clothing Closet events such as Grab & Give Days, donation drives, and other special projects.
- Group Projects: Have a group looking for a one-time volunteer project? We welcome sports teams, church groups, businesses, service clubs, and other community groups to come together and help with a special project at the Clothing Closet. Contact us to find a project that fits your group!
