ICAP is seeking a small group of on-call volunteers to assist with preparing apartment units for new residents. Our 12-unit apartment complex on South 2nd Avenue houses participants in the Bright Futures, Heartland House, and Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP). When a resident moves out, we occasionally need extra helping hands to quickly prepare the unit for the next household.
This volunteer opportunity is not a regular commitment but provides a meaningful way to support individuals and families as they transition into stable housing.
Depending on the needs of the unit, volunteers may assist with:
- Basic cleaning and sanitizing
- Painting walls and touch-up projects
- Light maintenance and organizing tasks
- Moving light furniture or household items
- General apartment turnover support
Interested volunteers will be added to an on-call list and contacted when a project arises.
