Team-Up to Clean-Up 

WHAT:

Let’s make a difference TOGETHER!  Show your local parks some love. Picking up litter near a park, waterway or neighborhood improves the lives of the people in our community.  A cleaner environment reduces health hazards, making it safer for everyone to enjoy the outdoors.

TASKS TO COMPLETE:

Volunteers are needed to assist with litter and debris cleanup around the park.  Each location will have unique needs.  Please meet promptly at the start time, near the shelter for instructions.  Release when work is complete.

WHO:

Ages 16+.  Feel free to sign up as an individual or as a group.

If you are part of a group, be sure to include the name of your group on your waiver.

SIGN UP:

Signup online at www.siouxfalls.gov/park-volunteer

Each volunteer is required to sign the waiver.

DEADLINE:

Sign up will close at 5 p.m.; 3 days prior to each date.

HOW TO PREPARE:

Bring your own work gloves, water bottle, sun

protection, closed toe shoes, and dress accordingly

for weather and getting dirty. We will  provide trash bags.

DAY OF:

Meet in the parking lot near the shelter.

Briefing on-site.  Review a map of the area.

Leave the bag along the trails edge.

Park team will pickup.
