We are looking for a group of creative, detailed, problem solving, and crafty individuals who have the
time and patience to help create dream catchers for LifeScape Children's 2nd
Annual Pow Wow in August. There are two videos to watch for instruction. It is a challenging craft to perfect but once
you figure out
the tight grid pattern,
it is very
rewarding to see your dream catchers grow!
- Tasks: Create the 'center web' of the dream catcher
- Time frames; Estimated time to complete one dream catcher is approx. 40min. Work at your own pace.
- Quantity:
- LifeScape is seeking 40 dream catchers to be created.
- You are welcomed to work at your own pace and take 2-3 dream catchers at a time.
- Deadline for completed and return dream catchers to LifeScape, May 18, 2026. Or return as you go along.
If this detailed craft project piques your interest, or it is a skillset that you hold close, LifeScape's Volunteer Services team will supply you with the materials to efficiently create the base or web and hoop of the dreamcatchers for Children to teach them about the Native American Culture. LifeScape Students will be adding beads and feathers to complete their dreamcatcher during the learning activity.
If you have questions or are interested in creating Dream Catchers, please reach out to VolunteerServices@LifeScapeSD.org for more information.
