Volunteers in this role will help maintain the Non-Essential Items section of The Foster Network’s closet. This position ensures that donated personal care, beauty, and miscellaneous items are organized, accessible, and ready for distribution to children and families in foster care.
Responsibilities include:

Bringing donated non-essential items from the warehouse to the closet for stocking

Organizing and stocking items such as:

Personal care products (shampoo, body wash, lotions, deodorant)

Beauty items (nail polish, perfume, curling irons, hair accessories)

Miscellaneous items (water bottles, small household items)

Maintaining an orderly, clean, and accessible section for volunteers and families

Checking items for usability and discarding broken or unsafe items

Communicating with staff regarding inventory needs or surpluses
Skills & Expectations:

Strong attention to detail and organization

Ability to safely lift and carry items from the warehouse to the closet

Ability to work independently while following established stocking procedures

Schedule & Commitment:

This is a weekly volunteer opportunity

Each shift is a 2-hour time slot

Volunteers may choose their preferred day and time during store hours
