Volunteers in this role will be responsible for maintaining the Outerwear and Seasonal Items section of The Foster Network’s closet. This position focuses on organization, presentation, and inventory balance to ensure children have access to weather-appropriate clothing and seasonal necessities.
Responsibilities include:

Managing and maintaining the Outerwear and Seasonal Items section of the closet

Organizing items by size, type, and seasonal relevance for easy accessibility

Verifying accurate sizing and proper placement of all items

Analyzing inventory to ensure a full and balanced selection of coats, jackets, snowpants, boots, hats, gloves, and other seasonal gear

Cleaning and maintaining the assigned section, including racks and shelving

Stocking and restocking items to keep the section full and organized
Skills & Expectations:

Strong attention to detail and visual organization

Ability to assess inventory balance and identify gaps in sizing or seasonal coverage

Ability to work independently while following established closet standards

Commitment to creating a respectful and dignified experience for children receiving seasonal clothing

This is a weekly volunteer opportunity

Each shift is a 2-hour time slot

Volunteers may choose their preferred day and time during store hours
