Reach Literacy's Bee a Reader program supports and encourages emerging 2nd grade readers in Sioux Falls. We pair students from Anne Sullivan and Hawthorne Elementary schools with caring volunteers to share story time on Zoom. Our goal is to increase our learner's confidence in their reading abilities through positive one-on-one reading experiences with our reading rockstars.
This program takes place during the school
day and meets once weekly for 10 weeks in
the spring.
• Sessions start February 11, 2025.
• Sessions end April 25, 2025.
• Volunteers meet virtually on Zoom with
students once per week for 10 weeks.
• Each session requires 45 minutes.
Each session we talk, laugh, and bond over books, creating positive experiences with reading.
