Requesting Field Trip Volunteers
Who: Requesting volunteers 16+ with good mobility who enjoy working with elementary- and middle school-aged students in large groups
What: Assist the Pavilion's Museum staff in hosting educational field trips for area students. Volunteers can serve in the following capacities:
- As Field Trip Assistants: greet students, their teachers, and chaperones upon arrival, distribute itineraries, direct groups to their destinations, and help move sack lunches (with rolling Pavilion bins) to the 3rd-floor lobby
- As Museum Floor Volunteers: supervise the Science Center floors, reset exhibits, answer questions from groups, and direct groups to the locations of their next stops during their visits
Where: In and around the Pavilion’s museums and lobbies
When: 9:00 am-12:00 pm and/or 11:00-2:00 pm on weekdays in April and May. Volunteers may be scheduled on a certain day or days of the week or on an as-needed basis when the Pavilion knows it will be hosting lots of groups
Why: Volunteers help provide first-class experiences for the thousands of students who visit the Pavilion on field trips each spring
