The Safety Village of South Dakota Children’s Safety Fair takes place each year during the Sioux Empire Fair in August; this year Monday – Friday August 5th -9th, 2019 10 am – 3 pm. Children are provided with information and skills to help keep them safe in a variety of situations. Hands on activities and demonstrations at booths from various community organizations cover such topics as fire, passenger, home and weather safety.

- Poison Safety
- Fire Escape Planning
- Grain Bin Safety
- Farm Safety
- Dental Safety
- Handwashing
- In and Around Car Safety
- Seatbelt Safety
- Teen Driving
Free with paid admission to Sioux Empire Fair.
We are looking for volunteers to help with the Registration Table, the Coloring Table, the Prize Table and to help out at booth if needed. We also have a few time slots for the Teen Driving as well. that are broken into 3 time slots. There is free admission to the Fair until 1pm each day Monday August 5 – Friday August 9
