Description

The Oxford House is a home for women recovering from drug addiction. They bought a 1910 home near the Cathedral; the yard was severely neglected and is in need of volunteer to help with a landscaping plan to create a beautiful and relaxing retreat so the women can concentrate on their recovery. All materials, supplies, plants and tools will be provided. We will also provide water and treats. However, we do ask that volunteers bring their own gloves. There will be a sign-in sheet in the back yard. People can choose to work with the plant supervisor or the hardscape supervisor. The work will be at the home at 719 North Duluth (two blocks north of the Cathedral) at 2nd and Duluth on Saturday, August 24. The home is on the SW corner. We ask that volunteers be there for one, two or three hours. We will be working from 9 a.m.-noon. We will need 10-20 volunteers to complete the work within the three hours. To Volunteer, express interest below or email Sue at smn@sio.midco.net
