Thank you for your interest in volunteering for our Girls on the Run 5K! As GOTR girls from across our area come together to achieve their goals on 5K day, they will be depending on volunteers like you to help them shine!
Saturday, May 18th
Founders Park - Rapid City, SD
Event Set up: helps set up event before runners and spectators arrive.
Finish Line Assistance and Medals: direct runners away from the finish line to the bananas/water; put a medal around the neck and congratulate each girl participating through the Girls on the Run programs
Water Stop Helper: Hand out water to the runners at the half-way mark.
Registration Booth: assist new registrants (taking payment) and handing out race swag
5K Route Helpers: stand at key locations to assist runners in going the correct direction and encouraging them along the course
Sag Walkers: walking the whole 5K at the end of the line, to make sure all kids are being encouraged and no one is left behind
