Are you looking for ways to serve and make a difference in your community? The City of Rapid City provides opportunities for you to use your unique talents and abilities in a meaningful way. By serving on a board or commission, you can influence policies that shape our city and government. With over 30 boards, committees, and commissions, you can advise the City Council and Mayor on a wide range of issues.

To apply for a board, committee, or commission, fill out the Citizen Interest Application by clicking here. Your application will be kept on file for three years and considered every time you find a job on the boards or commissions you have shown interest in. Your service as a volunteer will have a direct impact on our community. You will be working alongside other like-minded individuals to make Rapid City a better place to live, work, and play.
