We are seeking volunteers to register participants at Brookings Health System's New Beginnings Baby Cafe. Baby Cafe sessions are held each week on Tuesdays from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m.. New Beginnings Baby Cafe is a free service from Brookings Health System that supports breastfeeding mothers in every aspect of nursing, from starting to weaning and every variation in between.
Volunteers should be interested in newborns, new mommies and breastfeeding.
Volunteers are required to complete the following:
- Completed Volunteer Application
- Proof of MMR records (two dates) or receive a booster/titre
(exception: those born in 1957 or earlier)** - Current TB skin test/2nd step (within the last year)**
- Seasonal influenza vaccination**
- Background check*
- OIG check*
- HIPPA video training and signed confidentiality agreement*
- Review Brookings Health System's Infection Control Policy*
- Completed training applicable to specific volunteer position
*Conduct by Brookings Health System's human resources department
