Who We Are
Midwest Street Medicine is powered primarily by a dedicated team of volunteers who are committed to providing compassionate, low-barrier healthcare to individuals experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable populations. Our volunteer team includes physicians, nurses, social workers, addiction specialists, peer support specialists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who generously donate their time and expertise. In addition to our volunteers, Midwest Street Medicine has a core staff that includes a registered nurse, three Community Health Workers (CHWs), a physician, a social worker, and other essential team members who coordinate care, provide case management, connect individuals to community resources, and ensure continuity of services. Together, our volunteers and staff work collaboratively to meet people where they are, delivering medical care, behavioral health support, addiction treatment, and social services with dignity, compassion, and respect.
What We Do
Midwest Street Medicine is on a mission to bring healthcare directly to the people who need it most. We envision communities where all people have a chance at health and dignity where no lives are cut short by stigma.
