Who We Are
The Friends of the Library was established in 1977. The Friends’ mission is to enhance library services for the public. Friends’ volunteers help to sort book donations and keep the bookstore shelves stocked. Selling donations at an affordable cost is the main resource the Friends use to support library events and activities.
What We Do
Over the past several years, the Friends have supported the Library’s Summer and Winter Reading programs by providing awards. The Friends also support many other library events, such as Lunch and Learn, Donuts Documentaries, and Teen Crafternoon. The Friends also donated $35,000 towards the purchase of the library’s first bookmobile since the 1980s.
