Allied Arts Fund

The Allied Arts believes in supporting the growth of Arts organizations and their audiences; working to keep the Arts in schools; strengthening the Arts presence, preserving the diverse cultural activities in our communities; and empowering and coordinating the effort of artists and organizations to make a difference in our neighborhoods.

We Provide …
Operating and promotional support for arts organizations, as well as funding for other non-profit, grassroots community art projects. Together, our groups represent the most active and established arts organizations in the Black Hills, who with our grant recipients, provide over 1,600 culturally enriching events for our community each year.

We Give …
Allied Arts raise funds from individual and business donors. We provide funding to many grassroots, non-profit arts projects and support for individual artists.

Each year, Allied Arts are able to administer about $250,000 to support the arts in the Black Hills, yet this represents only a fraction of the money needed to sustain our arts community.

Many Allied Arts member agencies provide programs at no cost or at low cost, and all give back to the community, providing outreach to children, seniors, and the underprivileged through donations of time, talent, performances, event tickets, and scholarship funds.
