http://www.HorsePowerSF.comHorsePower's mission is to provide equestrian programs/therapies for individuals with physical, emotional, and/or cognitive challenges in a quest for personal independence, accomplishment, self-pride and well-being. Horse Powers is a 501(c)(3) organization that has been serving the Sioux Falls area for the past twenty five years by providing a summer therapeutic horse program for individuals with disabilities. We now offer our services year-round. Horses have been found capable of providing extremely beneficial therapies - physical, mental, and emotional - for a broad spectrum of individuals. Children with autism speak for the first time, children with physical disabilities gain the strength and confidence to take their first steps, emotional scars are eased and overcome. Our expanded therapeutic riding program provides year-round services to a number of populations within the community. This program continues to provide beneficial therapies for individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities. Furthermore, individuals struggling with emotional or behavioral issues can also benefit from this type of therapy. Additionally, we offer outreach services to disadvantaged or at-risk youth through our Konomi mentoring program. We are especially in need of leaders and sidewalkers for our therapeutic riding lessons.
