http://www.groundworks-midwest.comGround Works-Midwest is a Sioux Falls based non-profit who uses teaching gardens as a means for teachers to bridge the outdoor classroom with learning taking place inside the classroom. GW-M works with elementary and middle schools to establish teaching garden leadership teams which come from each individual school, neighborhood, and community where the teaching garden is built. These teams ensure the sustainability of the teaching gardens for long-term use and impact. In addition to advising each local leadership team, GW-M walks through the whole building, launching, maintaining, and teaching opportunities that go along with having a teaching garden at a school site.
