Organization Profile
Project CAR is a non-profit transportation system which provides safe, efficient transportation for Sioux Falls citizens who are involved in activities scheduled by the supporting organizations. Project CAR volunteers are the key to independence and quality of life for those who are in need of transportation. Volunteer drivers use Project CAR vehicles to take Senior Companion and RSVP volunteers and clients of SD Achieve and Dakotabilities to their assignments and special scheduled activities. It also provides transportation for members of eight different churches to worship services and volunteer opportunities. Our purpose is to provide safe, efficient transportation Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 7:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funding is obtained from sponsor contributions, individual donations, and an annual fundraiser.
