Computer Class Instructor
Caminando Juntos, a Hispanic Ministry Center in Sioux Falls, is seeking patient and compassionate individuals willing to tutor adult learners on basic computer skills, programs, and functions. Tutors may also help teach basic Office programs, such as Microsoft Word and Power Point, or teach individuals how to type, use email, and navigate online websites. Volunteers will set their own schedule and class times, but generally classes meet twice per week for one hour at the Caminando Juntos office. Instructors will also receive ongoing training and support, as well as a curriculum to follow to make their job easy and rewarding. Tutors should be open to working with diverse cultures and have strong computer skills; teaching experience is not required. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful. 1:1 computer classes will run year-round as staff and needs allow.
