Just show up on the day of the event or host a blanket making party of your own and drop the blankets off at Sonia Sotomayor Elementary when complete. Description: Project Warm-Up began making blankets for local homeless children in 2006. Since that time, over 25,000 blankets have been given to children how were homeless, in foster care, lost their homes due to fire/flood/tornado, dealing with the loss of a parent, fighting serious illnesses and more. Come and join the biggest planket making party ever! Make a tie-blanket and help provide students in need with a warm fleece blanket to have as their very own. Or, host a blanket making party yourself. Gather friends, co-workers, club, team, and/or youth group! To Volunteer, Express Interest below.
