Become a Girls on the Run Coach
Become a Girls on the Run Volunteer Coach!
Great leaders with big hearts transform communities. Did you know that 99% of coaches agreed that coaching Girls on the Run (GOTR) was a valuable experience? There are always two coaches at each practice. Coaches lead a group of 6 to 15 girls (3rd through 5th grade) in lessons focusing on building social, emotional, and physical skills. To be a coach, all you need is compassion for helping others, availability to meet once a week for 1.5 hours, and a desire to see the next generation achieve their dreams! You do not have to be a runner to coach. The minimum age requirement is 18 years old. New coaches are required to attend a one-time National Coach Training Session hosted by our GOTR program staff.
Contribute to the GOTR mission this season by coaching at a site near you! Fall season starts after Labor Day and ends in mid-November. Teams meet twice a week after school, around 3:00 pm, depending on the school, every Tuesday & Thursday. CLICK HERE to apply or to look at our location list. For more information, email Jasmina.
