Child Care Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to supervise children during the WAVI support group meetings advocates are present at all times. This volunteer opportunity is on Wednesdays from 5:15 pm - 6:45 pm at the WAVI's Shelter, 527 Quincy Street, Rapid City, 57701.
Ages of children: The age ranges of children vary. Tasks: Sit with kiddos during supper, color, read, or do other activities.
Volunteers must fill out a volunteer application, be over the age of 18, and pass a background check. Volunteer applications can be filled out here
Childcare will be during supper, so the hour will fly by quickly. Volunteers don't change diapers or assist with toileting. Children old enough to use the restroom without assistance will have access to the bathrooms connected to the dining room.
