Assist With Facility Outings
Assist with Facility Outings Program/Agency: Avera Prince of Peace Date: Flexible Time: Flexible The residents like to go on outings in the community. The facility bus transports them to the location. Many of the residents are wheel chair bound. Volunteers are needed to assist with wheel chairs. Example: We are going to have a picnic at Falls Park. When the bus arrives at the park we need volunteers to help wheel the residents to the picnic area. The volunteers are invited to the picnic to visit and socialize. The residents will then need assistance wheeling back to the bus. Staff will be there also. Another example, Shopping. The bus delivers the residents to the location to shop, volunteers are needed to assist wheel chair bound residents around the store. To volunteer, Express Interest below.
