Necessities for Neighbors Volunteer
Necessities for Neighbors is our local outreach program to help our neighbors in need. The program was started around five years ago, when we discovered that there are certain basic necessities that people cannot buy with Food Stamps (known today as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP). Each month we distribute toilet paper, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene products, and diapers to over 300 local families.
Interested in Helping? Volunteer on Saturday morning to help with set up at 9am the day before distribution Volunteer at the Sunday afternoon distribution (doors are open from 3-4pm) – roles include greeters, registration, personal shoppers, and product specialists.
