Mall Walk
Be a part of this magical day where the community gathers together for the Annual LifeScape Mall Walk to raise money for children and adults with disabilities! All funds raised goes directly to helping children and adults lead fulfilling lives. Thank you for being a part of this amazing event and making a difference in other’s lives! Be a Volunteer to help make this day successful! February 4, 2023 Location: Empire Mall Volunteer times: 7:30am-12pm Be a Volunteer to help make this day successful! Volunteer Tasks Below: (Individual or Group Opportunities) Registration Table Volunteers: Need 7-9 Volunteers. Paperwork intake for all teams/individual walkers. Must be organized, follow detailed steps and have a welcoming personality! Age requirement: 18 & up. Face Painters Volunteers: Need up to 8 volunteers who can seek out guests to encourage face painting, enjoy visiting with others, and have an upbeat personality. Face Painter Volunteers help inspire a fun atmosphere for all ages. All ages who can paint simple designs such as smiley faces, balls, sports balls, etc. Greeter Volunteers: Need 13-15 Volunteers. Greeters will be assigned a specific area in the Empire Mall to greet incoming walkers and guide them to the registration table/photo area. Age requirement: 14 & up. Photo Volunteers: Need 2-3 Volunteers. Use your organizational skills to gather people for their team photos. Assist the photographer with all group needs. Strong leadership skills suggested. Age requirement: 18 & up. Cheer Volunteer Groups: All age volunteers welcomed! This is a great opportunity for GROUPS looking to volunteer! With your group, come up with encouraging posters, chants/cheers, or games that walkers can participate as they pass by your cheer group. Games could be "high 5 contest", limbo game for walkers to pass under, inspire walkers to cheer back to you, etc. Your cheer group will be inspiring the walkers! Team Signs Volunteer: Need 2 Volunteers to seek out Team Captains of Walking Groups and provide them with their wooden sign. Food Volunteers: Need 2-4 Volunteers. Assist with rolling out water coolers, organizing food on tables after the walkers have started, assist with cleanup of items and retrieval of water coolers after event. Event Tear Down Volunteers: Need 4-5 volunteers to help haul items from Empire Mall to LifeScape vehicles. Drive to LifeScape Foundation and help carry all items into building and upstairs.
