Center for New Americans Classroom Assistant
Classroom Assistant Volunteers are needed to assist our instructors in teaching English. They help with quizzing students, conversation practice and practicing reading and writing. They may pull out one or two students to work individually while the instructor works with a larger group, but they usually assist in a group setting. Classroom assistants can volunteer during any of our English class times and come as frequently as their schedules allow - whether once a day or once a month. We have a range of classrooms levels—from just beginning with English to being almost fluent in English. We also offer ESL citizenship classes as well. These classes help prepare for the test those who wish to become US citizens. To volunteer, express interest below.
