We are looking for a group of creative, detailed, problem solving, and crafty individuals who have the time and patience to help create dream catchers for LifeScape Children's 2nd Annual Pow Wow in August. There are two videos to watch for instruction.  It is a challenging craft to perfect but once you figure out the tight grid pattern, it is very rewarding to see your dream catchers grow!

Tasks:  Create the 'center web' of the dream catcherTime frames;  Estimated time to complete one dream catcher is approx. 40min.  Work at your own pace.Quantity:  LifeScape is seeking 40 dream catchers to be created. You are welcomed to work at your own pace and take 2-3 dream catchers at a time.  Deadline for completed and return dream catchers to LifeScape, May 18, 2026.  Or return as you go along. If this detailed craft project piques your interest, or it is a skillset that you hold close, LifeScape's Volunteer Services team will supply you with the materials to efficiently create the base or web and hoop of the dreamcatchers for Children to teach them about the Native American Culture. LifeScape Students will be adding beads and feathers to complete their dreamcatcher during the learning activity.

Days and times can vary according to everyone’s schedules.  Typically spending 1.5 -2.5hrs per time together.

 

Qualifications:

 2.  Awareness of Deaf culture and ability to communicate with adults who use American Sign              Language in a variety of signing levels and styles.

LifeScape is looking for a "Big Brother" mentor to be a support and friend for a young adult male at the Children's Campus.

Student is in his late teens and enjoys Sports, Legos and other various activities. He loves being active and learning. So someone willing to learn together, talk sports and being active would be ideal.
He is big fan of Video Games, going out to eat, painting and various other things.
