Many children and adults will not have the opportunity to spend time with family during Easter. Your creative touch and gift will help people at LifeScape feel the love during the Easter time. Easter baskets can be made from any ‘container,’ big or small. Containers could be a plastic cup, a basket, a Tupperware container, a box, a paper folded to hold items, egg carton, small cloth bag, clay pot, etc. Decorate the containers as you choose. A variety of item ideas to fill Easter basket are listed below. Be sure to write an Easter Note from you to your LifeScape Friend. There are two videos to watch for instruction. It is a challenging craft to perfect but once you figure out the tight grid pattern, it is very rewarding to see your dream catchers grow! Tasks: Create the 'center web' of the dream catcherTime frames; Estimated time to complete one dream catcher is approx. 40min. Work at your own pace.Quantity: LifeScape is seeking 40 dream catchers to be created. You are welcomed to work at your own pace and take 2-3 dream catchers at a time. Deadline for completed and return dream catchers to LifeScape, May 18, 2026. Or return as you go along. A homemade meal made with love is exactly what lifts spirits and inspires people! Whip up your favorite recipe, side dish, dessert, or try a new recipe and then schedule to drop it off at an assigned LifeScape Home. All mealtime recipes welcomed such as casseroles, one dish meals, tacos, family traditions, soups, chilis, pastas, vegetables, fruit dishes, and more. This can be an on-going cooking opportunity or a one-time opportunity. Or if you would like to come to LifeScape home and teach a few people to cook your recipe? We would love to invite you to our house to do some cooking together! We welcome individual volunteers and/or 2-3 volunteers in our home to cook with us! Volunteer: Sign Language Communication CompanionSign Language Communication Companion LifeScape’s Mission is to empowering people to live their best life. Would you enjoy the opportunity to help with members of the Deaf community in a welcoming, supportive environment or maybe the opportunity to greatly improve receptive and expressive skills in ASL? LifeScape is in search of Sign Language/spoken English friends to assist in the communication between hearing individuals and the Deaf or hard-of-hearing. Spend time together in leisure activities at person’s home or meet out in the community for fun opportunities. Days and times can vary according to everyone’s schedules. Typically spending 1.5 -2.5hrs per time together. Qualifications: 1. Be compassionate, friendly, caring, patient, and dependable 2. Awareness of Deaf culture and ability to communicate with adults who use American Sign Language in a variety of signing levels and styles. 3. Good organization and time management skills. 4. Dedication to dates established to get together. 5. Willingness to try various leisure activities of interest to person supported by LifeScape.
