Volunteer: Point in Time Count (PIT) and Survey of Housing Insecure People (SHIP)

Please join us in the 2026 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, a Housing and Urban Development required event is a vital community effort to better understand housing insecurity in our region. The PIT Count provides critical data that informs funding, planning, and services to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.  The Survey of Housing Insecure People is a local effort to identify individuals that are living on the brink of homelessness.  These statistics are also used for funding, planning, and services to support individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity.  Volunteers are needed to help with administering surveys to individuals struggling with housing security and data entry after the event.
