The Dive Team works closely with other dive teams throughout the area. Dive certification is preferred however not necessary as Emergency Management will provide or reimburse for training. The office of Minnehaha County Emergency Management is currently accepting applications for officers for the Minnehaha County Police Reserves.

Applicants must be of good moral character, have no criminal background, be a licensed driver with a good driver’s history, be at least 21 years of age, and be in good physical health.

The Minnehaha County Police Reserve Law Enforcement Unit currently consists of volunteer reserve law enforcement officers. The primary function of a reserve officer is to supplement and support career law enforcement officers. Reserve officers have participated in assisting at parades, Sioux Empire Fair, marathons, holiday patrol, street dances, community events, tournaments, and dignitary visits such as Presidential details.

Applications can be picked up at the Office of Emergency Management at 608 Sigler Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57104 during business hours or can be found on the Minnehaha County Emergency Management website: https://www.minnehahacounty.gov/dept/em/em.php.
