The Helpline Center is gearing up for 988 Day on Monday, September 8, and we’d love your help spreading awareness about the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Here are a few ways you can get involved:

Yard Sign Delivery

Help deliver 988 yard signs to interested homeowners, businesses, and neighborhoods.

We’ll also need 6–8 volunteers on Thursday, September 4 to deliver and set up signs at all Scooter’s Coffee locations in Sioux Falls, Brandon, and Tea.

T-Shirt Giveaway

We need 4 volunteers on Monday, September 8, from 7–8 a.m. to hand out free 988 t-shirts at Scooter’s locations in Sioux Falls.

Social Media Awareness

Join us in wearing a free 988 t-shirt on 988 Day (Sept. 8) and post a picture on social media, tagging the Helpline Center.

The Helpline Center’s Substance Use Care Coordination Program is seeking volunteers to assist with the distribution of medication lockboxes. These lockboxes are an important tool in preventing misuse and promoting safe storage of prescription medications in local households.


Role:

Assist with preparing and shipping lockboxes to program recipients.

Responsibilities:

Check lockbox inventory and inspect for damage

Verify recipient details (name, address, contact)

Prepare lockboxes with program materials

Package and label boxes for mailing
