Help create a fun and welcoming experience for children and families during the Real America Birthday Bash Festival in downtown Rapid City! The Kids Zone at Memorial Park and 6th Street will feature games, activities, and family entertainment as part of this historic America250 celebration.
Volunteers will assist with children’s activities, greet families, help keep activity areas organized, and support event staff throughout the day.
Volunteers will report to Main Street Square Board Room, suite 240, 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the shift to receive assignments and learn which station they will help cover.
Shift hours and dates needed varied.
July 3, 2026 & July 4, 2026
8am-10pm- 2 at Main Street Square & 2 at Memorial Park
10am-12pm- 2 at Main Street Square & 2 at Memorial Park
12pm-2pm- 2 at each location
2pm-4pm-2 at each location
4pm-6pm-2 at each location
Number of volunteers need for each slot: 14 total
No special experience is needed—just a friendly attitude and willingness to help.
Duties may include:
Assisting with games and activities
Greeting and directing families
Monitoring activity areas
Supporting setup and cleanup
