Volunteers in this role will manage the intake, organization, and tracking of all incoming new items stored in The Foster Network’s shed. This position is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring essential items are readily available to support children and foster families.
Responsibilities include:

Receiving and putting away all incoming new inventory in the shed

Organizing items in designated storage locations to maintain efficiency and accessibility

Maintaining accurate inventory counts of all items stored in the shed

Tracking inventory levels to identify shortages or overabundance of specific items

Communicating regularly with the Operations Coordinator regarding inventory needs, trends, and space concerns

Ensuring the shed remains clean, organized, and safely arranged
Skills & Expectations:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to follow inventory systems and documentation procedures

Clear and timely communication with staff, particularly the Operations Coordinator

Ability to work independently and responsibly
Physical Requirements:

Schedule & Commitment:

This is a weekly volunteer opportunity

Each shift is a 2-hour time slot

Volunteers may choose their preferred day and time during store hours
