Feeding Brookings does a food distribution every Thursday afternoon. We pass out around 400 boxes every week to households who could use them, feeding a total of over 1000 people each week. Boxes contain bread, eggs, meat, vouchers for milk, and other items that are purchased or donated.
Every Thursday, we need a group of volunteers to help us pack boxes of food, starting at 2pm. The main job is to pull a wagon and fill the boxes with food, then bring the box outside to stack on a pallet. We also need some volunteers to pass out the boxes to guests outside. Guests drive up between 3pm and 5pm to get a box.

. We couldn't do this every week without volunteers! It is a large weekly operation, moving a lot of food to a lot of households, done entirely by volunteers.
