NeighborWorks is seeking teams of volunteers to scrape, paint, and participate in the beautification of our community.
For the last 20 years, NeighborWorks® Dakota Home Resources has counted on volunteers to paint homes throughout Western South Dakota communities as part of our Paint the Town Program. The program involves the painting and sprucing up of homes of elderly, disabled and limited income homeowners.
Volunteers will positively be impacting the life and home of Adela Arguello. Adela has lived in North Rapid home since 1964. Her home is located in a high traffic neighborhood off of Anamosa. Due to her limited income the home has not been painted for over 15 years. Adela stated that fresh coat of paint would brighten up her day, and make her proud of the home she has worked so hard for.
Paint the Town is a community event that encourages residents to engage in revitalization. From volunteering to monetary donations your commitment to our community is vital. It takes a web of interlocking partners to develop and sustain healthy, vibrant communities. None of us can do it alone.
