The Salvation Army is preparing for its annual Coat Distribution Event, and volunteers are needed to help make it a success! Each year, hundreds of coats are donated and distributed to families in need. Last year alone, more than 900 coats came through our doors — and we need community volunteers to help us prepare and serve.
Volunteer Roles
Sorting & Setup Volunteers
Help sort, organize, and hang donated coats in preparation for the event. Tasks may include setting up racks, organizing by size and gender, and creating a welcoming, accessible space for guests.
Client Assistance Volunteers
Support guests during “shopping days” by greeting families, helping them find coats that fit, and restocking racks as needed. Volunteers in these roles help ensure each guest has a positive and dignified experience.
